The image and taste of crispy roasted pork skin kept replaying in my head... gotta make some... gotta make some!
Bought a nice 1.6kg slab of pork belly from the butcher. Prepared it like the last time and roasted it in the oven at 200 deg C. Used a fork this time round to poke the skin till my whole arm went numb. Worth it though, the crackling turned out super nice!
Looks a bit burned in some places but easily scraped off. Nom nom *crunch* nom nom nom...

CHRISSPYYY CRACKLING!!! I like it chao-tar a bit too.
HungryBear posted her roast pork too, but she boiled hers first to make for easier "stabbing"
She didn't use satay sticks though.
That skin is a thing of beauty. My mouth is watering just thinking about the crispy skin and the luscious meat. We used the pricking method before and it was FUN!
Wow! Can imagine the crispiness!!! Should have cut up and show the inside :P Hehe...
camemberu: ah yes, I read ah pui's recipe on makansutra. Parboiling the belly first does make it easier to stab. Tried that once.
The method that I'm using is based on the recipe from that Channel 8 show, Buzzing Cashier. The satay sticks is to simulate how they do it with stainless steel rods, works though.
js: haha... its not fun when you have a bad elbow like mine!
momo: yeah... the next post! :P
Oh man....
I can eat half of that slab!
