Miharu Sapporo Ramen

YOOOOO FOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! RAMEN AGAIN DESUUU............

Ok too much Hardgay here. :P

miharu
This is Miharu's Tokusen Tonshio. Tonkotsu broth with salt as seasoning plus lovely lovely Sapporo Nishiyama noodles imported from Hokkaido. Think of the noodles texture to be a bit "similar" to Korean thick Nong Shin instant noodles. Thicker than your regular instant nooodles but with enough bite and springiness.

Comes with a slice of charshu, half an egg, bamboo shoots, sweetcorn and a piece of seaweed. I love it but just slightly less than Santouka. Santouka is still love for me.

Oh and I remember eating them a while back before this blog even started was that their bamboo shoots were damn smelly, almost can fight with those bottled Taiwanese shoots. Either they're much more pleasant now or my taste buds have already adjusted to the stench.

Miharu is over along Mohammed Sultan Road.

brad: regular ramen joint prices? 12-14 or thereabouts. Never did bother to look at the prices not cos I'm rich or something but even if they priced it at 16 a bowl, I'll still eat em! c'mon its RAMEN!!! hahaha

keropok, I think they're a bit more restrained but I remember clearly that their Miso soup was SALTY! Anyway I got a pretty high threshold for salt so... YMMV!

Have you tried Marutama at Central? Ramen 'specialty' shoppu.

I went there recently. It's actually pretty decent, though their noodles are a bit like mee kia.

The salty soup left me high and dry... High in heartbeat rate and dry in the mouth.

The salt got to me halfway through the meal... But I kept going. The pork cheeks are quite the shizz' too. You can go try! Regular price range.
